How we work together
01 · Tell me your story
You write to me with a description of your project: genre, tone, what you have in mind. I reply with an indicative quote within 24-48h. No obligation.
02 · Sketch and adjustments
We start with sketches. Here we fine-tune composition, characters and atmosphere. This is the moment to request changes before moving to the final artwork.
03 · Final illustration
With the sketch approved, I move on to the final artwork. I keep you updated and you can see the progress if you’d like.
04 · File delivery
You receive the files in PNG, JPG and high-resolution PDF, ready for Amazon KDP, Lulu or your self-publishing platform.

How much does a book cover for self-publishing cost?
Covers for self-publishing start from €450. The final price depends on the complexity: number of characters, backgrounds and level of detail. After a brief conversation I can give you an exact quote. The quote is always free and with no obligation.
What exactly does the cover layout include?
Layout turns your illustration into a complete editorial cover: title in professional typefaces, author name, back-cover synopsis, spine at the thickness you specify, and a barcode if you need one. The file is delivered as a PDF with bleed and crop marks, ready for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu or any printer. If you already have your own illustration and only need the layout, I can do it from €90.
Can I use the illustrations on Amazon KDP and other platforms?
Yes. All work includes a commercial usage license for publication on any platform (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, your own store), in both digital and print editions, with no print-run limit.
How long does it take for the illustration to be ready?
The usual turnaround for a cover is 3 to 4 weeks from sketch approval. Complete packages may need between 4 and 8 weeks. If you have a specific publication date, let me know at the start and we’ll plan it together.
How is payment structured?
I work with a 50% deposit at the start of the project and the remaining 50% on delivery of the final files. I issue an invoice for all work.
Do you work with authors who have never commissioned an illustration before?
Completely. The briefing process is designed so you can convey your vision even without technical illustration vocabulary. If you don’t know where to start, write to me and I’ll guide you.
Do you work with artificial intelligence?
No. All work is handmade illustration, drawn by hand or digitally by me, without the use of AI generators. This guarantees that the illustration is original, that copyright is solid, and that your cover looks like no one else’s.
